We were blessed to participate with this Corps on Memorial Day weekend at the “Carry the Load” event held in downtown Dallas, Texas. The Corps was asked to provide 24 -hour IFOC Chaplain Corp TexasChaplain care for those participating in this event. It is a highly emotional time for those participating as well as those serving. “Carry the Load” honors and remembers loved ones that have been injured or have given their lives for the United States of America whether in the Military, Fire, Police and EMS service. People “Carried the Load” from the East Coast and the West coast, meeting in downtown Dallas. We spoke with several Mothers who lost their sons in Afghanistan and family members remembering parents that were in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. The opening ceremony paid honor and respect for those in the Vietnam War with an apology for the disrespect shown to these warriors upon returning home and second thanks for their courage and service to the United States of America. Vietnam Vets, “we salute you”. One of our own leaders in I.F.O.C. was honored for her service in the Navy. Chaplain Cheryl, we are so proud of you and thank you for continuing to serve as a leader in I.F.O.C.

Thank you to all who serve to keep us free, whether on foreign soil or right in our community. We are grateful for all you do to protect us on a daily basis. We are proud of you.

God Bless the USA!
