Chaplain Mindy Albright

COL. Mindy Albright is an Ordained Senior Chaplain of the International Fellowship of Chaplains. She serves as a member on the Board of Directors, Ethics Committee, Human Resource and Personnel Director and Lead Trainer. She is an approved International Critical Incident Stress Foundation CISM instructor, Hazmat and WMD instructor, CERT instructor, is an intervention/family mediator as well as serving on the Board of Oakland County Crisis Response Organization.

Chaplain Albright is a certified lay counselor and a Board certified Advanced Crisis and Trauma Chaplain through the American Association for Christian Counselors, certified counselor in suicide prevention, as well as specializing in crisis intervention debriefing. She is a Law Enforcement Chaplain with the Madison Heights Police Department, a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy, a member of the FBI Citizen’s Alumni Association and a Rapid Response Team Chaplain with the Billy Graham Evangelical Association.

Mindy’s education and experience in Emergency Services started with serving in the Civil Air Patrol, an Auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Her Air Force ECI certifications include, Ground Team Leader, Flight Scanner, Flight Mission Observer, Security Police, SAR Management and Law Enforcement Specialist. Part of her service included five years as Michigan Wing Director of Logistics where she received an “Outstanding Rating” from the
U.S. Air Force. While attending Region Staff College at Grissom AFB, she was selected to
receive the Speaker of the Year Award.

Some of Col. Albright’s community service include her K-9 SAR missions with NASDN, Chippewa Co. Sheriff Dept, and Oakland Co. Sheriff Dept., Katrina relief, and numerous SAR missions throughout the state. As well, she has coordinated and served in five medical missions to Africa.

She is often a keynote speaker with the prison ministry, bringing hope and healing to the women at Huron Valley Women’s Correctional Facility. Her message of hope and encouragement are what makes her a sought after speaker for events.

The greatest training and life experiences she would boast are the foundation for her writing. Among those include her 36 years of marriage to husband Dave, mom to three adult daughters, and grandma of six!
