Chaplain Les Palmer serves on the Pastoral Staff at Calvary of Albuquerque. He serves as the Pastor/Director of the Chaplaincy Ministry, called the Crisis Caregivers. He has been leading and training individuals for the chaplaincy for more than 5 years. He is the Corps commander of the Albuquerque Regional Community Chaplain Corps. Leading all those now serving in the local community, as well as deploying through out the country offering hope to those affected man-made or natural Disasters. Recently appointed the IFOC National Director for Disaster response and working with the Texas Department of Emergency Management to assist the state in the event of a crisis anywhere in the state of Texas.
Chaplain Les has received a Bachelors Degree in Pastoral Ministry, and has an accomplished background as a Sr. Program Manager with DOD Research and Development Star Wars Project. Chaplain Les served 7 years with Young Life, a Christian outreach ministry, bringing the gospel message to teens. He has been a ministry leader in his church for over 18 years, taught in the MVCF Bible College and International Team Leader with the Horizon School of Evangelism, and Bible teacher for 12 years. Pastor/Counselor/Teacher for Calvary of Albuquerque School of Ministry.
Chaplain Les currently serves as the Vice-Chair of NM-VOAD, as a Chaplain with the Albuquerque Fire Department, instructor with the FFC, Instructor in the Calvary of Albuquerque School of Ministry, Lead instructor IFOC Basic and Advanced Training classes, Instructor Salvation Army Southwest Division Disaster Response Team, ICISF/CISM Instructor and team member of Crisis Intervention in Albuquerque and New Mexico.
