Major Frieda Schweigert

Senior Chaplain (Major) Frieda Schweigert is an ordained Chaplain and a life member of the I.F.O.C. She has occupied a variety of retail sales positions and is a former employee of General Motors.

Frieda is very active in her home church in Clarkston, Michigan. Her and her husband Tom have taught a grief recovery class for several years as a community outreach and Frieda has been very involved in the ministries of greeting and hospitality, intercessory prayer, praise and worship, and on their church’s healing team.

Frieda and her husband are also involved in the Deaconate ministry and Frieda has additionally completed a two-year Counselor's training and a 3-year Minister's training program (also at her home church). She also has previous involvement with C.M.A (Christian Motorcyclists Association) and Women’s AGLOW.

Frieda additionally is very involved in providing an informal counseling ministry to those who are grieving, hurting, or in need inside and outside of the church. She has also officiated several weddings and funerals.

Overall, Frieda’s heartfelt passion is to reach out and minister to people in need and considers her foundational Scripture to be in I Co. 9:22: “I have become all things to all men that I might by all means save some.”
